Program Description: Our Pilates Instructor Training Certification Program is designed to equip aspiring instructors with the knowledge, skills, and practical experience to lead effective Pilates sessions. This comprehensive program covers the foundational principles, exercises, and teaching techniques essential for guiding clients through a Pilates practice.

Participants will delve into the core principles of Pilates, including breath control, centering, concentration, precision, control, and flow. The curriculum provides an in-depth understanding of each Pilates exercise, modifications for diverse fitness levels, and the anatomy behind the movements. The program places a strong emphasis on proper body alignment, effective cueing, and creating client-centered sessions.

Total of 100hrs: Hours Breakdown • 70hr In-person Instructions and Supervised Teaching • 10hr Observing Pilates class (online or in-person) • 10hr Leading Pilates class (online or in-person) • 10hr Self Study/Practice (online or self lead)

Missed time: Some hours may be made up by completing an online portion (depending on the content missed) if the missed content is not available online hour can be made up one on one with the instructor at the cost of $50/hour.

Final Exam:

Written: There is a written exam at the end of this training, it can be done on the last day of training or any additional time with in 6 months after the last day of training. A mark of 80% must be achieved before scheduling your practice. Students may retake the test as many times as needed.

Practical:60 minute class in person $50 non-refundable booking fee (most be completed with in 6 month of your last day of training)

If the final written and practical is not completed with in 6months a refresher private session will be required.

BACKGROUND & PREREQUISITES

+ What pre-requisites are there for Fitness Instructor Training Course?

Come as you are! No pre-requisites required. However experience in taking like minded classes is always a benefit, along with any other Movement or Anatomy education you have.

+ Can I take the training if I don't want to teach?

Definitely!  Many students join a Teacher Training programs to develop their personal growth.  And, after completing the program, you may just find that teaching is right for you after all.

PROGRAM COST & REGISTRATION

+ Are there payment plans available for Continuing education?

Payment plans are only available to trainings that are scheduled over more than 30 days.

+ Is there a deposit required for Continuing education?

If the course tuition exceds $800 there is a $400 non-refundable deposit required to register.

+ How do I register?

Click the sign up bottom under the program you desire, place your required $400 deposit.Then complete our online application form located under the 'Registration' section.  Once you have submitted your application and completed the deposit payment, we will provide you with a registration confirmation e-mail.

+ Can I mail in an application instead?

Yes.  Please mail the application to:

+ How long does it take to hear back after registering?

We will contact you within 1-3 business days.

PROGRAM INFO & POLICIES

+ What if I am going to miss some classes?

All training hours must be accounted for. If a class is missed you will need to make up the material, typically with the instructor that you missed the hours with. 1-on-1 instruction is provided at a cost of $80 per hour. In the case of missing 4+ hours, you will be required to make up the hours in a subsequently scheduled Training Program. Some courses do offer online materal for those who missed hours.

+ Will I be certified to teach after the program?

As long as you complete all course requirements, you will receive your Certification.

+ What is the cost of re-taking a course you have already graduated from?

If you want to retake a portion of the program or the full program, you will be eligible to attend at a reduced cost. All graduates of the program are eligible to retake the program at a reduced cost of 50% of regular course cost. This option is available 1 time, within the time frame of 2 years.

+ What is the Refund Policy?

Refund Policy - Before Start of Course: A student must provide written notice to Wellness Within if he or she wishes to withdraw from the Program. Where total fees have not yet been collected, Wellness Within is not responsible for refunding more than has been collected to date.

Deposit payment is 100% non-refundable, except in the case of program cancellation by Wellness Within.

If Wellness Within receives written notice from student of program withdrawal with 14 or more days until program is scheduled to begin, the course deposit can be transferred to another Teacher Training at Wellness Within scheduled within the next year from registration date.

Refund Policy- After Start of Course: The program will not give any refunds or credits after the training starts.

+ Do these trainings qualify for CEC?

CanFit Pro certified Continuing Education Credits: 4 credits for Mat Pilates Instructor Training, as well as the Barre Instructor Training.

After finishing our program, students are required to directly submit the title, the name of the Instructor Trainer/Presenter, and event/location details to their governing body online. Letters and certificates of completion can also be provided as proof of attendance. For Wellness Within education, we encourage members to contact their governing body for information on petitioning the education for CEC approval, provided the Instructor Trainer/Presenter meets their criteria.
